Planned and designed audio/video, home automation and structured wiring installations. Supervised installation crews. Project managed new construction and retrofits, from 3,000 to 14,000 square feet. The 14,000 square foot house included:
Aegis 3000 system installation with 48 zones. ALC lighting control for over 150 loads of light. Eight cameras and video/RF whole house distribution.	50,000 linear feet of cable. Voice and data networks. Custom enclosure design.

IP COMMUNICATIONS Dallas, Texas Senior Network Planning Engineer		2000-2002
Planned and designed ATM network in a four state area. Network included over 400 locations containing Lucent CBX-500s, Stinger DSLAMs, and Unisphere ERX-1400s. Monitored network bandwidth utilization and generated design changes to support customer bandwidth increases. Conducted traffic analysis to determine optimum bandwidth required to support reconfigured network resulting in a monthly savings of $400,000. Created and maintained a graphic depiction of the complete network. This allowed co-workers to visually comprehend the network thereby allowing them the ability to decrease response time. Initiated design changes on the backbone network to support customer requirements.
MCI WORLDCOM Richardson, Texas Senior Engineer II		1996-2000
Planned and designed switch adjunct equipment used in the local network utilizing AIN. Equipment included voice mail platforms and announcement recording devices. Created and distributed RFP/RFIs to adjunct switch equipment vendors. Reviewed the resultant proposals from the vendors and suppliers. Designed an architecture supporting the reduction of vendors providing voice mail systems in the MCI WorldCom local network. End result being fewer maintenance contracts plus an annual cost avoidance of $1,300,000. Designed and implemented an AIN architecture where one voice mail platform provided services to multiple local switches, saving $100,000 per installed switch and $60,000 annually per switch.

Program Manager Managed a team of software developers and project engineers providing a voice recognition platform to local telephone companies. Managed the implementation of an $8M system for a large local operating company, within budget. Communications Analyst Determined strategic telecommunications direction for the corporation. Supervisor, Control Center Monitored 5 dissimilar PBXs with 20,000 stations, and LANs with 10,000 devices. Project Manager Managed the implementation of $23,000,000 project: a 15,000 line PABX.
